Marriage Tradition

Do you know the marriage tradition of  Love Spoon? In 1667, in Wales (United Kingdom), it made the first love spoon. It was common for the groom gives to her bride a carved wooden spoon. This gift symbolized that he will never allow her to go hungry. The love spoon had different meanings, for example, a cross for faith, a wheel to support a love, a horseshoe for luck, a lock for security, caged balls indicated the number of children that the newlyweds hoped in their marriage. However, in spite of the years, today people continue giving this gift in the wedding, anniversary, birthday, baby gifts, Christmas or Valentine´s day gifts. Do you want one Love Spoon

  2. That's a new one for me! It sounds like a good idea though...it's something that can last a long time and mean many different things.
